lol... You'll be surprised. A few Canadians would've gone as far as California.. but they'll have to make sure it comes with seat heaters, heavy duty battery and all the wonderful things you'll need for winter up north.

lol.... You know the prices have been inching upward right? Like how a 2001 Camry XLE V6 starts at $30k and tops out at $31.5k with the Extra Value Package (which really was good value) of leather, heated seats, power moonroof. (Power front seats were standard). 2002's Camry XLE V6 went up to $32k with extra equipment, same 194 (old SAE) engine but loses the power passenger seat. The package to add that seat back, power moonroof, leather, heated seats, foglights and a 6CD Changer pushes it to $36k. The package sans fogs and CD Changer is $2.5k for the XLE 4 cylinder. A little expensive if you ask me. While the competitors (Altima, 6, Accord) may not have had a rear sunshade, rear vents or auto-dimming mirror, they're also $3k less topping out at $33k for all 3 of them. I realise there was a lotta aluminium parts in that Camry (suspension bits, hood, trunk... not sure if the fenders were steel or aluminium) which drove up the price but $3k difference?

That's our nice guy Canadian politics.
NAFTA is supposed to ensure free trade between both countries. Guess they never expected our dollar to get par with them.
I'll bet if their economy gets better and out dollar stays low it'll happen again.

maybe because we're more price sensitive, more Canadians bought cars south of the border than Americans buying from the north.
