Sold My 09 Corolla

Well guys sold my 09 Corolla XLE with 3000 miles on it. It was too small for me. I traded it in on a 09 Camry CE. I got a great deal ..I think. They gave me $16,216 for me Corolla...which was what I owe on it. For the Camry they knocked $2000 dollars off, dealer cost for tint, 2.9 percent finace, one year free of oil changes. The car has keyless entry, floor mats, vin etching, paint sealant. But this is the kicker. My neighbor has a Solara that he changed the tires and rims on it. He is going to sell me the rims for $150. I did put my Sirius in it. I love putting it in the cubby hole. The only wire that is exposed is the antenna wire going from the side pocket to under the center console. I think there is another cap I can pop out. It located on the bottom of the side pocket. I just can't a good view of it.

Yet another great Toyota. I contemplated getting the Camry as well. The room, power and quality were tempting but since I needed a commuter car so the fuel economy won out.

Good for you on getting what you wanted.

Congrats on the Cam. I thought about getting one because I fit better in it but I got the corolla for my commuter. Have fun with the new ride!

Good choice. Bought my son the 6 cylinder Camry in 2007. Although I understand some units have experienced transmission problems, his has been an exceptional vehicle. Excellent gas mileage, smooth and quiet ride and outstanding acceleration. Wouldn't buy a 4 cylinder Camry though. Too much weight for anything but mediocre performance and increased mileage of 4 over 6 is minimal..

Good for you. You did exactly what I wanna do next summer after a year of ownership. The only thing that scares me is the trade in value. I always seemed to get screwed on the value. I have an 09 Ce with enhanced convenience, MSRP at the time was 18295. Can anyone in Canada tell me what I should get next spring? About how much would I lose? I'm guessing around 40%. I wish there was a way to find out exactly what you should get in this situation. I really do want a Camry.

upload the pictures from your camera to your computer, go to this website imageshack and hit "choose file". Find the pictures and hit upload and it should give you a link to the photos so we can all see! What color is it?

The black book value found in sites like GM, Ford and others will give you some idea what dealers will pay for your car. Also listings on Craiglist, Buy & Sell, Auto traders will tell you buyers willing to pay price. (market value) Between the 2 should give you your value. BUT you have a car that have the best re-sale value in the market and high demand too. So sell privately and you can really negotiate a good deal on your new purchase.

If you sold your Corolla after 3000 mi. ........................

..............I would think that the hit you would take would cause you to be half crouched permanently holding your butt cheecks and waddling around .

You just "punch" out the side cap from inside the box. It's only held by two clips.

Hendrix how did you get so much for your trade in? Usually in the first year you would take a massive kick in the butt. Any tips for me, I'm doing it in the spring and want to get as much as possible. thanks.

There's a "Red Book" in our local library giving both the wholesale value (what the dealer is likely to allow you on a trade) and the retail value (what a consumer should expect to pay the dealer when they buy the car from him). New editions appear frequently. However I don't know whether this covers BC also or whether it's just for Ontario.
