Question Is this a good deal?

Well after months and months of shopping and being indecisive, I went ahead and put the deposit on a 09 TC XRS auto. I wanted to get your opinions in this car, I know this is a Toyota forums but I want honest answers please. It was either this car or the Mazda 3 Sport GT w/ luxary package. I am getting the corolla for $25,000 ALL IN. This price also includes all weather floor mats, hood deflector, and side body molding. The car has 70km on it and is automatic. I live in Edmonton, AB and this prices also includes a 500 grad rebate. Is this is a good deal?

Are there any transmission problems with this car?
Have there been any issues thus far (XRS owners?) ?
How is on gas in the city? on avg how many km in the city do you get on a full tank while driving normal?

Thanks in advance, any help would be awesome. I can still get my deposit back but I truly do like the car. End of the day it comes to features and interior quality of the Mazda 3 over reliability and resale on the Toyota. Help me out!

if you don't get too many responses, it's because the mazda3 vs. corolla debate has already been played out here. several times. 95% of the people who get the xrs are thrilled with it. 95% of the people who get the mazda3 are thrilled with it. you obviously put some thought into your choice so I'm 95% sure you won't be sorry

You've spent time researching and have put down a deposit.
Drive it and enjoy your purchase..

Well its official, I got approved for financing and decided to go with the Toyota xrs. End of the day reliability did win over features and interior quality. I love all the low end torque this car has. I drive a 380hp mustang right now and this is my winter car so I was quite surprised on how it was zippy to drive. I think end of the day I will be happy with the purchase since the XRS is the best of both worlds, it has the fun to drive feel of the Mazda 3 Sport GT and the reliability of the Toyota. Cant wait to get it on Monday, will post pics once I get it. Thanks for those that replied.

congrats on your XRS...your true toy is in the garage. By buying the Corolla, you'll appreciate your Mustang much more as well- as Hannah Montana would say, the "best of both worlds" lol.

Well its done! I just picked up the car and drove it home. The car looks amazing and is perfect in every way. Very happy with my purchase and experience. I will post pics tomorrow. But I had a question, how should I break in the vehicle, I saw the short video stating not to floor it and blah blah blah. Any good suggestions on how to properly break in the car? Now that it is in my garage do I need to do anything? Does anyone have tips for keeping it in good order so I get this most out of this car for the next 10yrs? What have other new car owners done? This is first ever new car so I'm excited and naive with the whole thing.
