This is a pic of the new HS250 Hybrid Lexus is planning to put out, it sure looks alot like a Corolla to me! Sorry about the poor photo quality, I took screen shots from a internet video and the one with the side view is pieced together from a panning video shot. ( you can see the red line going down the middle of the pic. )

Its just a Corolla with leather seats and maybe there will be a 5 speed Tiptronic style transmission in it. I have no doubt it will ride and handle better than the Corolla, but its platform will be a Corolla platform. Just as a Lexus ES 350 is the luxo version of the Camry, The Lexus HS250 will be the luxo version of the Corolla. In Canada, Honda even has the Luxo version of the Honda Civic called the Acura CSX.

Well, it's a similar size to the Corolla, from what I can tell in the pictures, but it will probably be larger.
Also, though it does share some similarities with the Corolla as far as styling goes, from what I can tell, they don't seem to really share the same platform. The proportions are quite a bit different, and stuff is in different places, etc.
Just like every other Lexus/Toyota, it has a common design theme for the company at this time, it's a smaller Lexus and it's a Hybrid. Not sure how much in common with the Corolla it will have, probably very little, if anything.
Jeffy, someone must have gave you a bag of pennies. You always have your 2 cents to put in, you talk alot but don't realy say anything. Are you trying to break the record number of post or what??:b lah::bla h:
the basic shape/layout looks the same. Probably is Corolla based

I heard that to develope a new car from scratch cost approx. 3 billions dollars. Even to have a Lexus on the Corolla platform would not be an inexpensive endeavor, as many parts have to be developed and the design has to be addapted and re-engineered. Its not as easy as putting fake wood on the dash and leather on the seats. If I had to bet I would put my money on it being Corolla based. We already know for sure that there will be a hybrid Corolla out soon, so it is not that much of a stretch that this would be the Lexus version of the same car.
It definitely looks like my Corolla...it seems to be somewhat related to it. Proportions are similar, styling is similar...just what a Corolla would look like if it were a Lexus. It looks awesome BTW and its great to see.

Yes, on a discussion forum I have things to say... who'd have thought?
I have an average of 0.82 posts per day to your 0.63 posts... wow, I'm such a post whore.
Your post is very confusing.
This is a thread asking whether or not people think the HS250h is based on the Corolla, what kind of answers do you think it will get? Oh I know, people's opinions on the question asked "Hey! Isn't that a Corolla?"
The HS250 has an extra vent glass in front of the front door, the rear window slope is significantly shallower than the 10th gen Corolla, the front door on the HS250h is actually shorter than the back door, which is opposite of the Corolla, and yet there is almost the same amount of space between the front door and the front wheel. There is quite a bit more front overhang on the HS versus the Corolla.
My post was well written and offered up my opinion on the original question that was asked, it was on topic and not rude. Unlike yours, which was off topic and retarded. You are a complete tool.
