does anyone have this problem ? when i am driving around the city i feel like my whole back end is loose...i hear squeaks and rattles from the rear of the car every little bump or hump i go over it sounds like the whole back end is so loose

does anyone else have this problem ??

anywhere i go, besides on the highway when the car is over 60mph i hear squeaks and rattles mostly squeaks when i drive...it pisses me off because it is repetitive. happens every few seconds when i drive. when i have the radio off it is unbearable to even drive. squeak after squeak from the rear. seems like the back end was put together very very cheap..

yea im taking it back sometime this week. ive had the problem ever since i bought it, it has gotten worse and worse. it honestly feels like the whole back end is loose. it squeaks when i drive all the time. it doesnt have the stiff feeling. squeaks and rattles when i drive in the city..so annoying.

i cant find any info on it ! i have taken everything out of my trunk and it still squeaks !!! everytime i drive ill go over a sewer or a very small bump or very very small pothole it squeaks like crazy. the whole back end squeaks

I find in the winter on the 09's a lot of ice builds up at the bottom of the rear glass and it causes quite annoying sounds. I've had a couple other rattles back there that I've had checked out and fixed under warranty.

that makes no sense because you have a rear defroster and that would melt all of the ice if any ice was on the glass. when i use my defroster it melts snow/ice pretty fast and i have to disagree that is not what is making these squeak sounds.

Same here but I got the rattles all over the dashboard and in the back part. I have take the car several to the dealer and nothing I will try a new dealer this week.
After 3 weeks speaking with the people of toyota they accepted to change the car, but the problem is that in Mexico they stop selling the CE in manual transmission so now I most choose keep the rolla or get a Yaris
BTW Oscarjf you car is a CE??

this is very true. check the seal under the window where the trunk is too because it usually won't melt after it has gone down that far.

well ive only had my car for a week and im in it everyday and im usually flooring it, but i tried yesterday to hear this squeeking but nothing in the front or back, so i dont know what the problem could be all i can say is try the dealer because i know with my toyota dealer they were telling me that if it has any problems just to take it in and they will take a look at it . . . . so i guess try different dealers and see what each one say . . . .

try driving a 20 year old targa Supra, that's rattling!

may be possible some bolts are loose or interior pieces arent put together so well, you never know with mass production these days..

as stated earlier, take it to the dealer; you have a warranty for a reason..

I usually get squeeks when i have items in my trunk.

I found out it was the hard foam support above the spare tire (the one holding the tire wrench) rubbing up against the plastic underside of the trunk carpet/plastic floor.

If i put anything of weight in it; it starts to squeek.

There are other issues but that was the main one for me, might be one of your issues.

does anybody else have this problem where they here a whistling from the engine and a rattle from the roof and a crazy noise when you make a U-turn?
