Dealer missed something in prep?

Hi,

I bought a 2009 Corolla CE the other day and found a plastic bag with 2 oval rubber plugs in it:

IMPORTANT
To pre-delivery inspector: Insert these rubber plus into the holes of the center floor side member extensions.

I looked at where the bags diagram pointed to and found the holes where these plugs were supposed to go: under car, right before the rear wheels.

The dealer would not tell me what they were for
The dealer told me to leave it until I brought it in for an oil change.
Toyota was no help...they told me to call the dealer back.

What are these plugs for? Should I put them in?

What else should I / could I check over for myself?

TY for reading, Any good help appreciated.

Mike

They are used to plug the holes for the tie-down chains when they haul the cars on the convoy trucks. You did said you already found where the holes are!

Toyota put plugs in those holes so they won't create noise when you are driving down the road.
