Trunk floor squeek

Hey

I'd like to ask you Corolla owners to open up your trunk and take your hand and press down repeatedly on your floor aka the floor covering for your spare tire.

Does yours sqeek? For a week straight I heard a squeek in the back of my car as I was driving, and I thought it was my right rear suspension.

BUT, it was the fact that my SCHOOL BAG which is quite heavy was sitting in the middle of the trunk, bouncing up and down over any bumps I went over that caused the SQUEEK

I couldnt believe it was the trunk flooring........

.........let me know if yours does that too

AND

How do I keep it from squeeking if I put weight on it?

Mine doesnt squeek anymore cause i keep the heavier stuff like my bag on the sides of the trunk, and not in the middle

mine squeeks too and its because the floor itself is like carpet laminated onto a piece of cardboard with a piece of foam in the middle to keep it from caving in. if you were to replace it with something more substantial like a thin piece of wood, i bet the noise would go away.

Mine does it too. A couple weeks ago I really noticed it. It was driving me nuts. I thought it was suspension as well. It was my ice scrapers bouncing up and down and causing the squeek. If I move everything to the front or sides it doesn't do it. I can't believe the racket it makes just touching the floor. Unbelievable.

Cant the Toyota dealer replace it with something thicker?

What if we are travelling and have heavy luggage sitting in the middle and sides of the trunk floor?!

That would be one annoying road trip hearing that squeek, unless your turn on some music....but still, could be put a piece of styrofoam or something underneath it to keep the floor from bouncing up and down?

All dealers run and hide when they hear Joker is on the way in for a visit.

It takes no expert...someone posts about how they broke something, or if joker posts anywhere, the antics are pretty predictable...and yet somehow entertaining...for the first couple of posts anyway...

Sorry, but where are your useful inputs?

At least everyone else has something useful to say, instead of putting someone down.

Seriously buddy, are you not getting enough **** or something?

You want useful input, here it is. Stop tearing up your car and then lamenting your actions in the forum. These new vehicles are not constructed like A 1949 Ford. They are mostly plastic and composites. Act accordingly.

Thats not good advice at all, thats common sense idiot.

When you have problems with your car, dont post it on here cause no one is going to give a flying shit about you.

And does it look like I made my trunk floor squeek? Clearly not.

Thanks for coming out junior
