stereo/hu upgrade

Hey everyone,

Ive been looking into upgrading my 6 speaker system and 6-cd HU. I pretty much have found what I am looking for I just wanted to get peoples opinions.

for the speakers:
frontdoor: JL audio c2-600x (4ohm)
reardeck: JL audio TR690-txi (4ohm))
amp: Blaupunkt THA475PnP (75W rms x 4 for the four speakers...4ohm or 2ohm)
sub: Boss Audio BASS600 8-Inch Low Profile Amplified Subwoofer (obv not looking for a sub that will rattle the car next to me, just provide the power and range to hit all the lows in my music)
HU: the waywell/other OEM in dash nav people have been talking about, or something from a brand name (pioneer/eclipse/kenwood) that will be able to play both the video and also connect bluetooth with an iPhone (anybody know of a in dash nav that is capable of this connection with an iPhone?)
I guess I dont really mind about the quality of the nav, but I do know kenwood comes with garmin.

I don't know much about configuring car audio and will probably get all this installed at a specialty shop.

My questions are:
a. do I have all the components necessary...will something cheaper than the JL speakers such as infinity or alpine work better/just as well or are JL SPEAKERS[not subs] also significantly better performing?
b. when outfitting my car on crutchfield's site, there was nothing for the rear door speakers. Anybody know why this is?
c. what kind of price should i expect from a store for installing all of this?

Thanks for any help guys and I apologize if i sound like a "noob"

supposedly kenwood is going to be releasing two in dash units (7") that do everything including full iphone 3g support. the msrp for the dnx7140 and the dnx 9140 are a pretty high (1700 and 2000) but that could be actually a lot less.

i cant really find what the big difference between the two units is but both of these seem to be nice options

You can do much better. Consider an Alpine head unit, MB Quart speakers and a JL Audio sub.

As for the headunit, go with Kenwood, their Excelon line is excellent.

thanks for the input guys.

I think instead of that blaplunkt or whatever, im going to go for the JL A4300 or the G4500. I don't know which to go for, but at only $25 more than the A4300, the G4500 seems like a good choice. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...facturerID=621
