I honestly think that double DIN is the way to go with these cars or they don't look good, single DIN plus a pocket just looks too 90's now since everything from the new millenium is coming out with double DIN sized stereos and Navi units.

You're right, double din would look much better installed than the single din stereo.
It's been a while since I've bought a new car stereo and didn't realize that a double din could be an option.
The only one I noticed in the store at the time was a $1400 unit that had the built in Nav system and DVD player.
I would love to have something like that but, just a bit too rich for my blood.
It wasn't until I started looking through the product magazine I brought home last night that I saw there are some reasonable priced double dins.

Thanks for the picture.
For $325, does that unit have the iPod playability and control features and is it Bluetooth ready?
Based on what looks like fingerprints on the screen, it must be a touch screen model is it?
Just kind of curious as to what features I should expect for roughly the same kind of money when I go to buy.
I've also heard that when replacing the stock stereo, the sound quality improves even without replacing the stock speakers.
Did you notice any difference?
it is ipod and bluetooth and hd radio with the add ons. The ipod one is $15, the bluetooth is $100. It is a touch screen, the fingerprints are from the wife. it is a jvc 710. you can get a pioneer for the same price.

Im ordering this one this weekend or when I get my tax return
Plus I dont need install kit/harness and I can still use my steering wheel controls. Obviously I'm not big on brand name but for $400 it sounds good. Plus I talked to the dealer said he'll give me discount if I purchase from his store. I'll post pics after I put it in. Wish me luck.

For sure a review is in order when you finally install this kit.... also a long term review say 6months or so down the road. Nice unit, but who knows what the quality will be like.
