my 09 S just got hit by a truck, brand new car for a week, only got about 700kms on it. Feel terrible now. Mostly body work but left front wheel got bend in...hopefully nothing related to the main chassis, for what I see so far is bend suspension.
sorry to hear that. i hope everything turns well for you and hopefully the repairmen can restore your brand new car to the original. coz i really have seen so many times that those collision repair shops really do a very lousy job. it has never happened to me yet but it is so sad to think that they cannot do a good job. replacement parts are good but workmanship is so poor.

For the body repair...I am pretty confident since my buddy works at a body shop and I had job done there before, great work. The only thing I am worrying about is the bend wheeel and the suspension repair...I am sure even with good mechanics, I will be feeling not as good as before. I guess...just bad luck.
For the mechanical repair, I am gonna go with the toyota dealer service department, coz I feel they know the car inside out and they will have all the parts ready to fit in without waiting for shipping. I know they will be a little more expensive, but insurance covers it and I have more faith on the quality.
This is a unibody car, so to bend the wheel in you most likely moved the front apron that all the suspension components mount to. I think it is standard process in a modern body shop these days, but make sure the car gets evaluated on a computer frame bench where they can take measurements of the mounting points. Worst case they have to pull the chassis back to true, but at least make sure its checked well.
I feel for you buddy, my last car was hit in the second year and it was never the same. Lets hope that it turns out better for you. What I did was to tough it out for a couple of more years and traded it after its 4th year. What you have to do now is to minimize your liability. Of course the car is covered by insurance, so get it repaired at a dealer and not at some small body shop that might cut corners. Get a letter of zero fault from the insurance company. They have to send it to you if you are not at fault in Quebec, but I do not know how it is in your province. If the repairs are good and you feel no difference to the car, then you should drive it till you need to trade it in a few years from now. In this case the worse that can happen to you is that you will loose your time to do the repairs to your new car, and your car will be depreciated about $1000 at the time of trade in. The longer you keep the car, the less you will suffer in depreciation. If the car is repaired badly or can not be repaired, the insurance comapny has to re-do the repairs or give you a new car. This can happen to anyone, in my first week of ownership of my Corolla a big tractor trailer truck cut over in front of me on the highway. The back of his trailer actualy went over my hood, but it did not make contact. Things happen out on the road.

so to a reputable shop, and this DOES NOT mean a shop that advertises a lot. In fact, I'd call a local Porsche or BMW, or M-B dealer and see where they recommend for an independent body shop(if they don't have one in house, of course). IF the rich guys aren't happy with their sports car repair, the business probably wouldn't be doing well.

In Hamilton my Toyota dealer is partnering with a Chevrolet dealer in a joint venture called Hamilton Group Autobody (HGA). I used them once for my Camry and it worked out fine. I had an added level of comfort knowing that Toyota was involved.

If our corolla has a problem, the dealer we bought it from is a Toyota Certified collision center, so it'll be between them and one other place, that always has a few 100K plus car's out front
