Has anyone used the Mr. Clean water softening car wash system?
I would not buy the Mr. Clean water softening car wash system at the usual $35 becuase I already have so much car wash stuff. I have a 1 gallon of car wash detergent from Costco and all the other things I need to wash my car. I was at the L'Acadie Home Depot in Montreal and they had a pile of Mr. Clean car wash kits at $12, so what the hell!
Has anyone tried this car wash system, and does it do a good job without wiping the water off? The Mr. Clean water sprayer is suppose to take away all the minerals in the water and then you do not have to wipe the water off your car after a wash. It just drips off without mineral stains on your car.
yeah, it works. but at 12$, it either makes me think that a) home depot has discontinued it or b) the product has been discontinued, and you could be out 12$ since you will eventually need refills.
my local self serve pull in and spray car wash has the same streak free setting so I just use that instead.
I've had one for years. It works great if you use it correctly. You must make sure that you wash the car completely- if you miss a spot it will stick out like a sore thumb.
Keep in mind that you'll have to buy the replacement soap and filter.
The soap and filter refills last about 6-8 washes.
I use it during the summer and go to the local carwash in winter.
Ditto. Good system which pretty much saves drying time. Only con is the refill...but that doesn't prevent me from buying it.
Compared to a $6 DIY coin-operated car wash, it's a steal.
Yeah. It's that car wash system that includes a water filter (to remove hard water deposits) and this funky green soap - that I think it electrostatically charged to prevent water from standing still on it.
It's a great kit - the water filters are about ~$10 and I think the bottle of soap is that much too.
LOL! Do you have a discounted rate with a fuel fill-up?
Electric.... Fuel models are more expensive, heavier and overkill. Great for getting rid of leaves in the driveway and takes me a few minutes to dry the car and the engine bay after each wash.
Beats having to reach in every nook&cranny with a shammy... Especially when it comes to the engine bay....
Leaf blowers are going to go on sale in the springtime, you can get a lower priced one for under $50. Just make sure you do not stand on wet pavement when you used your electric leaf blower.
