Taking car to a bodyshop- little concerned!!

My left side doors were banged up and had to leave it at the bodyshop for 3 days. During the 3 days, I'm concerned that they'll swap my parts on my corolla for older parts!!. Have anyone experience this before??

It would be hard to find 09 Corolla parts to swap out for you parts. With labout being what they are, it would not be profitable for them to swap parts.

I agree. As well I'd to add..its a Corolla. We think its a great car...autobody places just think its another car to fix up and get out the door. If you are worried about your Corolla, it must be a pretty seedy place...

when i looked at the inside of the shop at the front desk, they don;t have any hoist or any equipment and i think they only do autobody repair.

On my last car, I has my 2 driver side doors bashed in by a car backing up. These days they do not beat the panels back into shape because once it is deformed the metal may crease and rust will form in the tiny cracks in the metal. They usualy change the door skins out for new ones. I find that the difference in price from the smaller shops and the dealers is not that much. The bigger shops and the dealers have to stand behind their work. If the insurance comapny is paying for it, the dealer is your best bet for repairs.

Why are you leaving your car with a shop you don't feel comfortable working with? It's your car, you get to make the decision where to leave it (even if there's an insurance claim involved!)
