Question Corolla Trunk Question

I was wondering if anyone knew what those white like latches are for in the trunk of the Corolla? I need to make room for some subwoofers, and am thinking about getting rid of those latches, any help?

Those latches are for the rear seats you release them to fold the rear seat backs down.

I just test drove the corolla today and I happen to ask the salesman the same question haha! They are to release the 60/40 split back seats in the back of your car so you can fold them down.

No, I don't have a picture, but those are not the latches I'm talking about. It's actually that small white "square/rectangle" thing thats sticking out right under your "left red circle'', on the left side of the trunk, you see it... Right under the "red circle"...
