Buying a New Toyota Corolla 2010 - Toronto, Ontario Canada

Hi. I am looking to buy a Toyota Corolla CE 2010 in Toronto with Enhanced Convenience Package. I am wondering if others have bought one and for how much and what you think about it. I have a car cost canada report for a 2009 which is pretty much the same thing. Do you think its possible to get a 2010 for $21,500 tax and everything on the road?

If anything you will not be paying more than quoted on the website. Times have changed a bit. Last year there was no budging on website prices in Canada.

This guys was able to get some eextras thrown in, you might be able to also. Alberta's Newest 2010 Corolla S!

There are great deals to be had right now. I bought an XRS the other day and was able to get $1100 off the MSRP.

I also forgot to mention that I drive automatic, maybe everyone here drives Stick, I don't know, sorry about that. Anyways some calculations so far.

Toyota Corolla Sport Manual Base Model (I am guessing) MSRP Total with Taxes: $24,031.15

$795 MSRP Car Starter + $85.25 MSRP Floor Mats + $500 for oil changes give or take.
Extras = $1380.25 but they probably get the Car Starter and Mats for less, So lets say Value +$968.85 (to get a nice even number below)

$24,031.15 + $968.85 = $25,000 <-Value Estimated MSRP
$25,000-23,700 = $1300 Difference (SWEET if its the base Manual maybe even better if more)

Now Jot says he got $1100 off MSRP for an XRS.

So I am guessing I should be looking at around $1000 off for a 2010 CE Automatic with Enhanced Convenience Package more or less?

Which would bring my total down to around $22000, I am guess then the wholesale prices are higher for 2010?

PS. Jot is it $1100 off price before or after tax? I am new to this stuff

I paid $21400 last year for my CE enhanced, only $400 off MSRP. The MSRP for 2010 is about $1000 more than the 2009. I doubt you will get $1000 off for a CE. $1100 for the XRS is because it is much more expensive. The dealers in my area right now will give about 5-600 off MSRP with maybe an accessory added in. If you get $1000 MSRP for a CE you are stealing it and let me know the name of the dealer.

I Bought my 2009 corolla S automatic with sunroof in oct/08 at don valley toyota for about 24000 tax in on the ground. They were pretty tight on giving me a lower price. So I had them throw in in tinted windows, all season floor mats, rust proofing and undercoat, hood deflector all for free... one thing i did notice was different dealerships had diffferent prices.. i went to 3 diffrent dealearship and got quotes for the same model and got 3 totally different prices. The best price was at don valley toyota at 404/steeles. If you plan to go there, let me know and i can refer you to my sales rep, he sold a few cars to my family and friends and he can prbobaly throw in some freebies as well.

Well the MSRP for a 2009 is $22400 so you did get 1k off.

I hate this dealing, I wish I could just buy online direct from the factory and everyone pays the cheapest price. No checking wholesale prices and all that crap that sometimes is over priced in the first place and it would be fare for everyone.

The MSRP last may on a 09 Ce with enhanced Conv. was $18200 + freight which was around $1200. They gave it to me for $17800 + freight+ taxes, coming to around $21400.

The price varies all over the country. I have done a brief check (in December 08) of the website prices and Alberta had the cheapest website price. Southern Alberta was hard to beat.

Alberta is pick up country, and they prefer the US big 3 vehicles in the middle of the USA and Canada. Both the east and west coast like Japanese cars. Toyota will try to keep their prices high to preserve their resale value. Get the incentive offered and between $500 to $1000 discount. They will try to give you stuff rather than money. Try to get 4 steel rims for your winter tires and body side moldings and extra warranty.

We just bought a white 2009 CE with the extended packages for 21900.00 , couldnt go lower or maybe we werent patient enough. ;-)

The danger to compare with Alberta's price is that they dont have to pay as far a I know the provincial tax ......an instant rebate of 1500.00

My sons car will be delivered Wednesday.

That is the same car and pack I want. I checked the car cost canada report . For Toyota Corolla CE 2010 in with Enhanced Convenience Package, automatic and block heater , the MSRP is $20,780.00 and Wholesale Price is $19,465.00. and in march there is not any Cash Incentives except the 500 for Graduate Program.

Automatic,

for the second point, I've been told by the APA that it can be cheaper to buy in Ontario. The dealerships are more willing to negociate, here in quebec they started to negociate only lately probably because the business was really slow due to you know what.

In ontario you pay .5% less on PST and you dont pay a greentax of 15.00 on the tires ok its not a lot but its still less.

BTW we choose to go 36 months 0% valid on 2009 only until the end of March I think

That can't be right that would mean that with taxes the wholesale price is 21,995.45 that would mean that the dealer homer1 got the deal from lost money, unless they are hoping he comes back for service but thats risky. Maybe CarCostCanada is just useless and we can get a better deal the old fashioned way?
