My corolla has rattling in the b-pillar seatbelt housing, and also underneath the dash board. Squeaking noise comes from both front seats.
Wait for about 2 months for Toyota Corp. to send me a District Representative to inspect my vehicle. The Corp and the District Representative does not care about the customers' complains.
The District Representative inspected my vehicle, and he said Toyota produces lots of cars each year, do not expect too much from Toyota! The District Representative keeps forcing me to accept the defects, and NO intention to solve any problem with my Corolla!
Never buy any Toyota!

I talked with my Case Manager at Toyota Corp, USA. She said that since Corolla is the base model in Toyota, you cannot expect too much from Toyota! The insulation that Toyota uses and Lexus uses are different.
I feel that the Case Manager is supporting the District Representative's viewpoint.

I think this maybe can make you fell better, there are a lot of people with this problem (I am one of them) it took me almost 3 months and 7 visits to the dealer to fix most of the noises (I still have some on the b-pillar) so the only advice I can give you is that insist on them, tell them about all the complains (I took some prints of the forum to show them I wasn't the only one) and that help me a lot.

He's basically telling you to suck it up. Also, your one instance hardly suggests Toyota is cheap. Sure, several people have complained about rattles here and there, but a complaint is subjective. I had a rattle in my seat belt housing, but I think it went away because I don't hear it anymore. I have a small rattle during mid-range bass in my door. No idea what it is, but I can live with it until I figure out what it is and can fix it. If you hate the rattles so much, sell the car.
However, I will side with you on the fact that the rep is telling you to accept the defects. This strikes me as being odd, seeing as Toyota does care about its image. The best advice I can give is don't run to your dealership or Toyota Corp. crying about some rattles. Be reasonable, rational, calm, and polite. State that you would like these "curious noises" looked into. If you get flak, insist that they do it. Right now, I think the dealerships are under review because I've been pressed by my salesman and the service rep to give them "excellent" on a survey Toyota may or may not send me. If they mention the survey at all during your dialog, use it to your advantage.
tl;dr either suck it up or do something about it in an adult manner.
The back of the car rattles a lot because lot of pieces are not bend together!
Since I have change the rear speaker I have a strange sound like a bolt that slide near the speakers,I have opened the whole speakers panel and found nothing!! I am getting crazy

Toyota has good quality... First Year Models ALWAYS have some minor rattle issues. Show me another car company that doesn't... Also you're buying an entry level car, its not a Lexus or Benz or BMW etc... My XRS has some dash rattles here and there, but you know what, you are going to do more harm than good by having the service tech take apart your car just to fix a little rattle here and there.
Its up to you, but i'd say its a waste of time to try and make a Corolla completely SILENT inside unless you fill it with that insulating foam. If you had the Avalon OK, but its a Corolla. Do you think the Yaris/Echo is/was rattle free? Do you think the Civic / Fit are rattle free? the Lancer has rattles, the Mazda 3 has rattles, Focus, Caliber, Cobalt, G5... the list goes on. Unless you are going to spend $50,000 + on a car you bound to get a rattle here and there.
People need to look at the Good things about their cars and stop being so nit picky about every little detail. Unless your engine is consuming too much oil, or your windows aren't rolling up, or your doors are falling off, you're car is fine. Cracked / broken parts are worth replacing, but a rattle caused by two parts vibrating together because of the road noise/ car vibration is nothing. Or if you hit a bump in the road and your car makes a "rattle" because of two plastic parts vibrating, suck it up.
Luxury cars are expensive for a reason. Comfort isn't just about leather seats, GPS, Self-parking cars & 15 Speakers. Its also about DEAD SILENT cabins, and almost ZERO road noise. You pay for what you get.

I disagree, when we adquire a new car it most be on perfect condition, is not excuse to have those rattles it took me a lot of time to get my rolla fix but now is almost perfect.
BTW I got a Renault Megane II Sport and a Peugeot Gran Raid and they have no rattles on them and they are 3 years old.

Everytime I take off, I hear something sliding across the car. I went to the trunk and found no bolts, very annoying!!

You must be kidding. No one should have to accept rattling from a new car, regardless of the model. Just because it isn't a luxury model does not mean a purchaser should settle for obvious manufacturing defects.
Its unnaceptable to defend a manufaturer like Toyota. They build their empire at selling small cars. They've earn a reputation of quality and you dont earn a rep like that if you were building a can of loose nuts and bolt.

I am expecting a solid car rattle free for at the very least the lenght of the warranty period , after that yes maybe a rattle or two would be acceptable. You know why we are getting a lots product of poor quality in general ? its because we dont complain enough,its only because we like to find excuse .
I'm dreaming to see the day where my money will develop a problem in their cash register, 20.00 turning to 10.00 and 10.00 to 5.00 and seeing them coming to me and complaining about it and me responding swallow it man, that it is normal to have defective money sometimes since they are printing a lots of bill at the Banks of Canada....
I have two other lst year car from Honda and Mazda, but they both do not have any rattling or squeaking noise. In addition, I did not need to visit the dealership other than the oil change services.
I believe a good, prudent and responsible automaker, such as Honda, and Mazda, should not classify their products' quality by their price range!!!!!
sorry some of you have rattles. i have none and two friends who bought their cars this past january have none. maybe we all got lucky.
yes, a certain number of cars in this class will have rattles. ive test driven every car in this class. among those test drives ive experienced a civic with 2 severe rattles in the drivers door and somewhere near the back window and a mazda 3 with rattles coming at me in stereoo from all over the car. it happens to all makes. how do you think they keep adding safety features and size to these eco cars without them ballooning to 3200 lbs? yep, lots of lightweight plastic wherever possible.
still, any severe rattles are unacceptable and one should be able to work with their dealers service dept to get a fix on them.
