Installing a switch

I want to install a switch for the whole drl/auto headlights thing and I want to put it in the center dash under the fan knob. I see there's a empty space where a switch could go. So my question is how do i get the plastic square out? Do I cut it out or does it just pop out? Any Ideas?

it just pops out. a lil easier once you have that panel out

I recently just did this to put a switch in for my neons. Youll need to take the panel off and push it out from the back. Its pretty easy, just refer to the stereo removal guide.

Putting the switch into that panel is a whole different story. I spent a good half hour cutting all the extra plastic away to make a switch fit into it.
