has anyone ever bought this?

http://www.headlightarmor.com/09-10-...ting-kits.aspx

has anyone ever bought these light protection kits? i just want to know if this website sends you a custom fitted cover just for the 09/10 corolla, or just a universal tint film or something like that.

Yikes !

It looks like it kept the heat from the bulbs from being radiated out of the housing through the clear plastic cover as it normally would have stock form. Like hotspots were generated exactly where the light would hit. Unfortunate. Thanks for sharing this with us though.

For the above pictures...did they use somekind of glue or sticky to install the vinyl on the headlights? There are scratches and sticky marks on them. I have 3M on my headlights and fogs, they don't use sticky at all, just like window tinting.

I don't know if anyone else who has vinyl overlays got them professionally installed but if you did they should have been backed by a lifetime warranty. Especially if they're 3M!

Has anyone heard of rvinyl.com?

Will these headlight covers damage the actual headlights because of the heat?

Any time you put anything over the clear part headlamp the heat is going to build up. Even clear film/vinyl. Same principle as tinting windows or adding another window layer on a residential window, acts as an insulating barrier.

Then it's up to people like me who have the vinyl overlays to maintain them so that I don't have headlights that look like dasspr's in the long run.

If you guys are thinking that once you put vinyl overlays on you never have to worry about them ever again then I would not suggest putting them on.

And like I said before, mine are covered under warranty...I've had my overlays on for about 2 months now...I guess I'll see what happens to me in 9 months...either way any slight visibility of the vinyl melting or burning it's going straight to Refine where I got it done.
