So,
I have spent this past week (Monday-Wednesday) helping my friend move.
We all know boxes and pictures etc can fit in our cars no problem, any car that has next to nothing in the trunk can fit those items. But since the house she's in now she has a big room, and the one she's moving too her room is half the size the futon she currently had wasn't going to fit. She offered it to me and I said "sure as long as it fits in the car"...
So wednesday when I left we took the whole thing apart and sure enough, with the seats down, the passenger seat all the way up and drivers seat in a (for me being 6'0) uncomfortable but do-able driving position it fit.
I'm just glad I didn't have to drive more than an hour and a half lol...
But it just goes to show our trunks really are huge... and I just thought I'd share with anyone who currently has one, or anyone who is looking to buy one of these cars to let you know just what can fit in it...

Last year I went to Costco and Bought 2 computer desks and it fit well in the trunk with the seats folded down!!! I think the trunk spaces are big enough for a family!!!
no Punks I'm NOT taking it apart and putting it back in, DREAM ON!!! lol. That would take too much work thanks! And yes like the above grand am but your right, the 'rolla is smaller lol

I have a 7th gen, so I have a smaller interior to work with.
But a little over a year ago, I bought a used 32" CRT television online for my guest room and I managed to cram it in the backseat of the Corolla without moving or adjusting the front seats at all. I had to drive an hour and a half on the highway with almost no rear visibility to bring it home, but I did it.
