Personally I like those a lot. I completely changes the look of the whole car and it goes really well with the red. Debadge that baby so no one will know what it is lol. How's the quality of the lights? I've been thinking about getting the same thing but withe the LED center parts that are smoked.
if only someone could retrofit that other half located on the trunk with true functional LEDs it would be the best LED tail lights for the 09 corolla ever!
It actually wouldn't be too hard besides installing new leds into the unit. But all you'd have to do is splice a wire into the brake light and run it up into the trunk lid. Does anyone know if these lights can be taken apart without having to cut them open (ie bake them in the oven like you can with head lights)

the quality is great so far, no defects when i got it, no burnt out leds so far after installation. It's been great. And yeah I plan to debadge just the corolla symbol and leave on the XRS.

nope it doesnt. im talking about the half part which goes to the trunk which doesnt have real functional LEDs.
Yeah those are the ones I want. If anyone can confirm they can come apart without cutting then i would be willing to be the guinea pig for converting the inner sections. If not then I've been thinking about converting the stock lights to all led. I have a wiring schematic drawn up but I'm a little scared to start cutting my tail with no backups.
From what I can tell I would need 26 Led's, around 8 or so resisters of various resistance, and probably 6-8 feet of wire for good measure. --> Total= <$15 for the conversion if it's possible.

those aftermarket led tail lights are a good modification but the other half that mounts on the trunk really bothers me. just like the oem tail lights, that other half doesnt light up. someone good with tinkering with electronic items might be able to come up with a functioning prototype.
