Odd Owner's manual comments?

So I have been skimming through the car manual over the last couple weeks, and I noticed that it said something about never switching from drive to neutral, or from reverse to neutral, while the car is still in motion. Its reason was that a lack of engine braking could cause you to go out of control.

Might just be me, but that sounds rather ridiculous.

Anyone else got any weird notes from the user manual?

I can understand their point on not shifting to drive while rolling backwards, but this doesnt make sense.

I find it ridiculous because how can rolling backwards/forwards cause you to go out of control?

Your assuming the reader as "in motion" is going 2-3mph, where as the manual might be referring to going 20-30mph.

Either way, glad i'm not the only one to read most of the book.
