hows it going everyone i had 2 general questions i was wondering i can have some feed back on.
for anyone that has the front and back sway bars installed, is there a noticable difference then before?
i ran out of windshield wiper fluid the other day and went to kragen to pick up some mr. clean windshield wiper fluid (its all they had). this product leaves a nasty dry residue on the area that the wipers dont reach. i did not have a problem with the wiper fluid installed by toyota. does anyone know which fluid is the best to use or where i can get the original wiper fluid used by toyota?

thanks in advance everyone.
Rain-X! I use the Rain-X De-Icer solution in the winter and it's great (yellow colour). In the summer, I use their pink solution, which helps get rid of squashed bugs and stuff. Plus, at highway speeds you don't even need to use your windshield wipers; the water beads right off!
hey bro, i've got the front and rear trd bars installed on my xrs. yes there is a noticeable difference in handling through tight corners. however, I've also noticed that now i can feel every damn bump and rock on the road. but its not a big deal. its only cause of soo many damn pot holes on the road. it takes a little getting used to.
thanks i think ill try that rain-x solution. the mr. clean solution i have right now is good at cleaning the reachable area of the wipers but anything not in reach dries quickly and leaves an ugly residue i constantly have to clean with a cloth.
as for the bars i might just end up getting the trd ones. not sure yet. for a while i was contemplating getting the trd springs but i hear that althought its just a 1" drop, you get more chances of scraping the bottom or damaging something. although i could be totally wrong since i just "heard" about it. any one got pros and cons for the trd springs?
TRD springs are a conservative drop and pretty much anything you throw at it, you will not bottom out or scrape.
Currently TRD's springs are the most minimal drop. You might feel a little stiffer ride but not much. And better handling at higher speeds. You will note that you might be able to take corners a tad faster than before. Quick maneuvers or avoidance moves will be a little more stable.
As for the Ultra Racing vs the TRD rear sway bar, The Ultra Racing is an add on, not a replacement. It is used in conjunction with your stock sway bar.
Not sure if it's stiffer than just the replacement TRD, but logic dictates the Ultra Racing might be a little stiffer since you have nearly double the hardware. Now the way it mounts and how it actually performs compared to a single stiffer bar is the question that I don't think anyone's tested or proved yet.
Ultra Racing actually has two versions of the bar. One is stiffer than the other. There is such a thing as over doing it for a daily driver...
There is no TRD front sway bar. It is an upper strut tower brace.

the only thing i dont like with trd springs is that everytime you look at the TRD lowered car it seems that it has not been lowered at all but you know that you spent a considerable amount of money for the springs and the installation fee. it is not a look-at-it-and-feel-good modification.

Not sure if I agree, but I'm comparing that to my 9thgen which looked good in my opinion. I payed 150 for used ones, and I installed them myself. I think the drop was perfect for what I wanted. Well maybe another 1/2" but for the most part it was nowhere near as un-noticeable as you make it out to be.
Now I've not seen them on the GenTen so you may be right.
For the most part I think the majority of the younger side of the demographic wants a drop like what the S-Techs offer, but I'm not willing to take a chance of screwing up my bumpers, or scraping bottom.
I have the attention span of a gnat at times, I'll space out and forget about how low I am and then I will be really pissed! LOL
CircuitJerk i have to agree with you. we all have different opinions and interpretations and preferences. at the end of the day everything is good. keep modding. 09 corolla rules!!!!! LOL
chuck, keep in mind that sometimes the stated amount is more of an approximation. The Automatic vs the Manual is nearly 100lbs difference. they don't say what those measurements were taken from so the drop on the front may vary + or - up to .5 of an inch.
I'm leaning towards the Eibach springs since the drop is a little more and it's still safe for me since we have an average of 2.5 inches of clearance from the bottom of the front bumper to your average sidewalk and the concrete parking stops.
for the windshield wiper fluid i just ordinary wiper fluid and its good. i heard rain x is also good but i have never used it yet.
I learned a long time ago....From my experience, they are all pretty much the same except maybe the environmental stuff?
Been using just the plain ole Wal mart blue washer fluid for years and seems to work as well as the Rain x at least for me.
I think the more important issue may be the condition of your wiper blades JMHO! In the winter time any auto I have owned just eats the stuff...lots of road grime mixed with dust! (Nice....NOT)
OT:
We get lots of high winds and blowing sand here....Pits the windshield pretty badly after 2-3 yrs. 65 mph + blowing sand= HEAVY PITTING! Includes Hondas, Hyundays, Audi, Mini, and now of course the 2009 Corolla...no escape but plenty of $$
