Traded in my XRS for more power and sexier handling
Well, I traded it in today. It was a little hard to let go of after the last year we have spent together.. until i drove my new car that is.
I am now the owner of a new 2009 Honda Civic Si
I just want to thank everybody esp. here in this particular forum for all the trouble shooting help and other advice I received and the knowledge shared.
Not saying you won't see me at all, but I can now longer claim the glorious title of Toyota Corolla owner.
i considered the SI before i bought the XRS a year ago. up here in Canada though the SI costs thousands more, about 5 grand i think it was, and that was without all the options the XRS had...

WOW...really??? I'm impressed guys! No one's bashed you or anything for selling the rolla and getting a honda civic. Pat your self on back everyone! Anyway, good pick man. I love the look of the SI and you can't go wrong with a VTEC. Plus there is WAY more aftermarket support (lucky). I was gonna get an SI but my mom has to be able to drive it since she was helping me buy it and she is unwilling to learn to drive a stick. Oh, and post some pics man. I wanna see!
somebody near my work has a new black Si with dark tint and brushed-metal type stock rims. it is soooooo fine, never liked civics till I saw that one. i think i would have made the same choice.
I was a little afraid of being bashed but I am glad you guys understand my choice.
Also, the dealer doesn't know but the XRS i sold them (for $17,8oo ! ) has been in a pretty bad accident and still has several problems from it, and they gave me $1,15o off of MSRP for the Si.
PS I have the two back speakers out of the XRS and the 3 rear head rests out of the XRS if any one is interested. I also have the stock tires with 8,ooo miles on them, 3,ooo of which were "break in" miles when I drove the car absolutely slow.

Wow, 17,800 is a good value to trade it in for. I'll be honest, you should've got the Civic Si in the first place instead of the XRS...but I think you did pretty well since they gave you such as generous offer Good move!

I guess what the dealer doesnt know, wont hurt you.
dude, SI is a good choice, i was thinking about it too and i test drove one, the tranny is an absolute bliss ... but like someone mentioned earlier, its way overpriced here in canada and without the options in the xrs...u got the 09 with the trac and VSC cause the earlier ones didnt have VSC and trac control, that was part of the reason i didnt get it. have fun with premium gas while the prices are still stable lol. you got lucky with ur trade in too...i am happy with my xrs for now, if i want performance i'd just get an older supra for summer !! congrads anyway!

i'm only being good because i'm a Mod...and i have to be respectful.
i am the biggest Honda hater you'll meet....
why do you hate honda's so much? my dad drives a honda every weekend from out of town, 540kms one way gets him here on half tank of gas and its a 1999 accord. its quite reliable.
