Maintenence light

Ive been noticing lately my maintenence light blinking for several seconds in my car. It does it when i first turn on my car then shuts off. Once I noticed it first blinking I got my oil change new air filter and my tires rotated balanced and filled with air. Its been a day since then but it is still blinking. Does anyone elses light blink?

I can not figure out how to reset the light. I tried disconnecting the power to the battery to reset the ecu. Is there some other way to do this?

Thanks so much guys for helpin me. Its an annoying problem and I do not want to go down to reno toyota nor call them. I'd much rather have to figure out how to reset the light than waste time at toyota.

For my Camry I think you have to put it on odometer vs trip and hold the button in while turning the key to 'on', not 'start'. Bars "-----" appear and then go out (or come on) one at a time. When that's done turn the key off and it's reset. (I'm going by what I remember so don't flame me if I get something wrong please.) If you can't get it I'll dig out the manual and verify the procedure. Would hope they use the same one on all their cars with this feature. BTW, mine flashes at 4500 after last reset and becomes steady at 5K.

I spoke with a toyota technician about the light flashing.

every 4000 - 4900 miles (only after you reset it) the light will start to blink.

The longer you let it go, it will blink more until the light just stays on.

It is to remind you to get an oil change.

Just FYI (smart thinking if you ask me)
