Come In If you have Sunroof!!!!

Just noticed this today, everytime I press the slide button the sunroof slides back 95% and not all the way. I have to press the slide second time and the sunroof slides back 5% more, is this normal???

This feature is to reduce wind noise when travelling at speed. The last 5% increases the noise the wind makes significantly if you try it. Obviously if you're stopped or moving slow it won't make a difference.

Speaking of sunroofs @ 95% open, does anyone ever hear some sporadic short wind vibrations from the sunroof at +60MPH? I thought it was the spring loaded wind deflector...but if I put my hand anywhere near the opening, it fails to show up...so I just can't tell (might be changing the wind dynamics with my hand up there).

But if I open to 100%, it disappears.

Actually I think I figured it out - not sure what the fix is.

I believe it's those "fanned" covers on the left and right side. When the sunroof is open, they get compressed...but the part closest to the wind seems to get expanded a bit...allowing it to vibrate a bit.

Will check it out on a wamr day to see what can be done.

USA

They sell sunroof wind deflectors that stop all of the noise. They are pretty sharp looking and are very popular around my area.
