Fan always blows at face?

OK, so whenever I have the A/C-heater fan on, no matter what vent setting it's at, there is at least a little air coming out of the "face" vents.
At just floor or just defrost vent setting, a little air still comes out at the face vents.
Is this normal... because I definitely don't remember riding in a car where this happens.

I know in my car the side vents are on all the time, but not the center vents.

I'll have to re-check mine but I don't think so.

The side vents usually blow a little compared to the selected position [with the exception of face position]

In mine if I want NO air coming in, I turn to recirculate and the fan in the off position blocks all air coming in. not sure if that's any help in your situation though.

+1

This happens in my 7th gen as well. Easy fix.

sounds like the cable clamp needs adjusted on the cable controlling the diverter door. Drop the glove box and see if you can see the cable and diverter door move when you turn the selector knob. Sounds like the door isn't being shut all the way...
