Canada Bluetooth handsfree system install?

So I purchased a bluetooth car kit for my 09 corolla part number: pz409-0029a-b0

i have no idea how to install it lol.

It kind a looks like this Parott CK3100 Bluetooth Handsfree kit install
with the blue box but mine is Motorola

So then I googled more specifically Motorola bluetooth car kit and it led me to this http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...ree-bluetooth/

The thing is I don't have that speaker box like the tundra install. -.-

I'll update this post with pictures of the kit.

Personally, I'd follow the steps in both the Tacoma and Tundra forms, and adjust for your Corolla. Have a friend help out, and take lots of pictures so you can write a diy later!

If you aren't brave enough, let the dealer do it, then take it all apart to see what they did!

I think that this system operates similar to the BLU-Logic system which is also available from Toyota. The audio is broad-casted thru the front speakers when activated. I started looking into a blue-tooth car kit about 2 months ago and wanted something that would look and act as if it were a factory installed feature. After some searching on the Internet, I came across the Toyota BLU-Logic kit http://www.toyota.ca/cgi-bin/WebObje...900020e%2ehtml who's average price on the net was about $180 US (P/N PT923-00090) for the 09 Corolla. I spoke to my local parts manager who's quoted me a price of about $200 CAN. When I when to place my order, the price not including installation came up to $164+tax CAN. I though that this was a deal considering the higher price on the Internet. Fortunately, they had the kit in stock but to my disappointment it was the kit mentioned in the first thread and not what I was after. I didn't want the stick-on interface module which would make the system more of an after-market add-on instead of OEM. When I questioned the manager about the difference, he stated that this was the only kit that they have been selling for quite sometime. I showed him the system I was interested in and he knew nothing about it, he then checked the p/n listed on the Internet and it was shown as discontinued. I then contacted Toyota Canada customer service and was provided with a different p/n (PT923-00094). I once again checked with the parts manager who confirmed it as a good number but the price was listed as $257+tax CAN. I decided to order it from my dealer instead of the Internet (US) because with the currency exchange/shipping/brokerage fees?/duty it would not be a great savings and if I had any problems, it would be easier to resolve. The BLU-Logic comes with a control module, harness, mike and interface switch (mounts in a spare switch knock-out). See link for installation http://www.trdsparks.com/install/PT9...nstCorolla.pdf. The system mutes the head-unit if it's on and also uses both front speakers for the audio output. So far, I'm very happy with how it operates.

Personally I go for the Nuvi type portable NAV/Bluetooth systems.

I wish I could figure out why they chose Bluetooth over WiFi in all units. Bluetooth is so limited for range relativel to WiFi
I can move it from car to car and updates for the maps are fairly easy and cheap (relatively at $80). Currently I am on my 2nd Nuvi and couldn't be happier. It the model 265WT with Bluetooth for the phone and text to speech options. It can be had for about $200 online and does everything I could want it to do. I use the "beanbag weighted base so it is really easy to move from car to car

hey sorry for the late reply, been busy with midterms. Thank you guys very much for the info. I find sienna1's link VERY useful. My kit looks identical to the toyota europe techdoc linked but I do prefer the user interface of the blue logic as it can be installed into those panels on the left side of the steering wheel (lots of room in my corolla since i don't have trac either =P). Here are the pics of my kit, i think i'm going to just sell it.

I just wanted to mention, i recently got the UR magazine (rogers subscription) and there are a lot of blue tooth dongles/kits being advertised i would assume because of the law being enforced so maybe it won't be as hard to sell it =D.

I looked through the Instructions Sienna1 linked. Looks like a lot of work. A radio with blutooth is probably simpler.

Just remember that the instructions isn't for the 09 Corolla. I installed a different OEM BLU-Logic fit which required the removal of the radio and instrument cluster bezel. Being very careful and taking my time, it took about 1 hour from start to finish. The most time was spent trying to pair the phone with the system (couldn't figure out how to select the detected BLU-Logic device so that I could enter the pass code on the phone). I might have help if I read the phone manual. The installation of the kit should be similar.

How many pins are on the connectors numbered as F1 and F2 on the installation link provided? Are they 10 or 12 pin connectors? (The harness which plugs into the small black box)
