USA 2010 Corolla Bluetooth compatibility problem

My 2010 came with Bluetooth, but it won't sync with LG Dare or LV NV (envy?) . The http://letstalk.toyota.com website seems incomplete for 2010--Corolla isn't even listed! For the 2009 model, both are listed as compatible.

Anyone else having problems pairing with Bluetooth? Have you gotten any help from Toyota (Dealer service says its the phone, Verizon says its the car)

Is the Blue-tooth part of the Head-unit (JBL with blue-tooth controls on the steering wheel) or is it a dealer installed OEM kit?

2010 Corolla Bluetooth compatibility problem

There are no controls on the wheel. There is a phone button at the bottom right of the console that you press and hold until it beeps once, twice, three times to put it in pairing mode. I assumed it was stock, but it may be OEM.

This is the same unit I've installed in my 09 Corolla http://www.blulogicupdate.com/ also see installation instructions http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...&parts_id=2848. The first site has a list of compatible phones but new phone are added as they're tested successfully with the kit. The unit should be the same for both the 2009-2010 models and there's nothing on the vehicle that should affect it. All the kit does is mute the radio and uses its own amplifier thru the front speakers for the blue-tooth to function. Are your phones able to see the BLU-Logic device and can you input the code listed in the user manual?

Yes, BluLogic--that's it (sorry I couldn't supply this before--my daughter actually has the car, not me so I couldn't remember the name).

Apparently the two phones I want to use are not in the list. Bummer. You would think BT is BT. I guess not eh?

The phone does see the BluLogic, and I enter the 1234 code, but then is says the link failed.

We took the phone to Verizon and they updated the software and firmware, but to no avail.

thanks for your help siennna1. Truly apppreciated.

Did you try clearing the memory in the module first (push and hold for 15sec until you hear four beeps)? They're so many formats for so many different things and as you stated, just because a device uses a particular format doesn't make it compatible with all devices using that format.

Yes, we've tried all the documented solutions, many many times. I'm looking for something beyond that at this point. Verizon has been no help, neither has Toyota. BluLogic's site seems to want to avoid any real customer contact (no way to contact them). Its all very frustrating.

have u tried to sync another phone to the car? or maybe try to sync another bluetooth device to the phone? if you can isolate the problem to the phone or the bluetooth module u will have a better time finding a solution.

Yes, it syncs to other phones. we just had the bad luck of owning the one of two phones that BluLogic won't pair with.

YES YES I KNOW THIS THREAD IS OLD, but I had the same problem with Blu Logic. FYI, if you have an LG phone and are trying to pair it with the blu logic system, before you start pairing you have to go into the bt options on the phone and disable the connect automatically on start-up function. Hope this solves some problems in the future.
