Clearcoat issue with bottom sideskirt! EDIT: POSTED PICS!!

Ok well. I'm wondering if the bottom skirt of the driver side and passenger side doors are supposed to be clearcoated. I washed my car back then and noticed 1 or 2 small chips but i figured it was normal. However, last weekend my friend was helping me with detailing my car and noticed that it DID NOT have clear coat. You can literally feel the texture of the paint on the bottom skirt compared to the actual clearcoat thats on the door. Also when we were detailing it last weekend i noticed there were more chips than usual therefore I was concerned. Luckily my aunt also bought an 09 corolla a month after i did and when i checked her bottom skirt there was clear coat. My friend also took a look at it and told me i should call up toyota dealership to ask them to repaint it and clearcoat it because it looks like they missed the area.

So i'm wondering if toyota would actually fix my issue or do the rest of you guys dont have clearcoat for the bottom skirt for both sides of your car.

Here are some pics...i tried to capture the texture differences but it was hard..but i definitely know that there is a big difference when u feel it first hand between the door and sideskirt. Remember this is a 2009 Corolla LE. The only driving i do is to college and back and work. It hasn't been off road or any gravel roads. Also i'm like 5'10 so i barely touch the sideskirt when i get out and in of the car.

I'd bring it back. The skirts should come coated and painted from the factory. I dont see a reason why they wouldn't be other than it was a factory defect.

I noted that my sideskirts had a different finish as well. I'll have to take a closer look since mine seem to take scratches really easily.

Me too I noticed my side skirt is rougher texture and does not seem to have a clearcoat. It is made of plastic right?
