The fasteners "shaft" may need trimming. Go slow & trial fit into bumper, don't get carried away & install with one big push. A bear to remove/pull out! The HILLMAN one is a light shade and if the bumper hole is large, dark circular shadow will show through at the center of the fasteners head. Check your work in bright sunlight. All looked ok when I did mine in the garage & took notice a few days later with the car parked curbside. No biggie as I did buy extras. I am going to do a set using KRYLON Fusion white paint. I know there is a package of white fasteners that I got from NAPA. Now if I can remember where..........?

i have a perfect solution for the holes in the bumper....PUT THE PLATE BACK WHERE IT BELONGS. ive never seen a mod that detracted from the look of a car more than that. it looks awful on both cars. absolutely abysmal. you might as well put some glowing green spinner rims and shrek stickers on your car. should i say what i really feel?

Something different or something worse looking? I think you did both.

i think keeping the car looking symetrical makes it look clean. its better for the plates to stay in the original location IMO.

Not sure I like the mod but it is good to try something new. If you stay with the mod I would move the license plate to the center position for better visual balance and more stock appearance to the police. (I believe there is a law about not obscurring the view of license plates, and the plate being offset may cause them to look closer at your car and hassle you about it just for grins - any pretext is enough.) The bumper plugs can be painted with touch-up paint bought from a Toyota dealer if you want to completely hide them. Also don't use zip ties or duct tape to attach anything to the car if you don't want it to look cheap.
