So I was doing an intake mod I got off this site and my stock hose is connected to what looks to be a spare resovoir of some kind, it is located behind the left headlight and a little lower, i checked and there isnt any liquid in it or anything, could it be a drop box for large matter that gets sucked in your intake???

thanks. oh and i have the 09 le!

It's a resonator chamber. It is used to lower the sound levels. read that on a toyota forum.

So should I keep it in or can I take it out? If I take it out then I can fit a CAI. Thanks.

Spare tire if you're not concerned about getting a flat. I used to take mine out for "Special occasions".... It's an extra 40-50 lbs.
