Reverse Camera

I'd like to install a backup cam. I know it's not a necessity in such a small car, but I love my gadgets. I was interested in a flush mount keyhole install. Has anyone done it yet? Any brand recommendations? Also, really stupid question, would I still be able to pop the trunk with the keyless entry if I remove the keyhole?

Not sure if keyhole will give you the view of the back on your screen.

I have backup sensors in my LE which gives audio and visual signals within 5'.
Did'nt like the camera. Hard to see, placement of screen and my head will be looking back when I'm reversing.

I wouldn't put it where the key hole is for a couple of reasons. first, why remove the key lock? that doesn't make sense. Especially since you can use that to lock your truck when using the valet key (look in the manual).

Secondly, it's always going to be filthy back there, especially in winter. plus, mounting it in there would be a bitch and you'd have to put a small window in there for the camera and seal everything up.

If you have a Corolla with a spoiler, I'd recommend this. Put it inside where the third brake light used to be on the rear deck. Way easier to mount, and it's protected by the rear window. But I still wouldn't waste my time. If you're a gadget guy, I'm sure you can think of a lot better things to do to it.

i'd go for the key hole or get a small camera to tuck next to the license plate light, maybe slightly below it. or even a license plate frame with one built in. putting it in the third brake light isn't gonna show much. you can just turn your head and see the same thing. ut iwth it in the keyhole for example, you can see the small child thats sitting down right behind your car.

i'll leave you with this. i wear glasses from time to time and when my lenses get dirty and I can't see, I wipe it clean.
