wanted to be lower than they offered. From everything ive read, the only reason it sits lower than the 9th gen did with the same springs is because if weight differences. The ride is comfortable and so far no problems bottoming out.

I don't get why a lot of people think the corolla bottoms out on the 9th gen s.techs...they ride fine and there's still a lot of clearance underneath.
To the OP that drop looks really good!
I'm not just concerned with bottoming out, but also ripping up the front lip on the car which is pretty weak going in and out of driveways. That's why I did the TRD. At least for me personally, the loss of suspension travel and the additional danger to the front from the other brands didn't make it worth it to me. Yes the extra low look is OK, but I wanted to get the best handling from regular lowering springs that I could get so I wanted something specifically designed for this car. That's why my recommendation and what I went with is the 10th gen TRD springs.
However, some people are more into the lowering for looks than handling and practicality so the lowest would be the best for them. I just see too many cars in the PA area here with the fronts all ripped up.

Well having my xB lowered and my previous car which was a tC lower than the corolla is now, im not too worried about it. In the pic i posted of the rolla, the back bumper is clearly over the curb behind it so i dont think its as low as you think it is.

I can understand where you're coming from but like I said before there is still quite a bit of clearance underneath the car...I've had my car on stechs for a year and a bit now and I haven't had any damage to my front end, side or rear skirts...
As for practicality I can still have a car full of people and a trunk load of groceries and I don't even rub at all. And yes you are correct that the stechs do give the car a "lower look" but the handling to me is amazing!!!
I guess it does depend on what you're looking for when it comes to suspension but I was looking for better handling and functional performance and the stechs fit the bill. If the stechs just looked good and weren't functional I would have gotten rid of them a looooong time ago LOL!
