2010 Corolla S Warranty???

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and had a question. I am getting a 2010 Corolla S 5-speed on wednesday and was not sure if I should upgrade the warranty. The regular warranty from the dealership is 3 years 36,000 miles or for an additional $1800 I can get 6 years 100,000 miles. I know the corolla is a reliable car but I didn't know if anyone had any past experiences or insight for this question. Thanks

I personally wouldn't get it. WIth the toyota extended warranty in the US, you don't need to purchase it when u buy the car, you can purchase it anytime before the factory warranty is finished. meaning you can purchase it when the car has 35,999 miles on it. You also don't have to purchase the warranty at the dealership you buy it from, if you shop around, or even search on google, you can find other toyota dealerships that offer the warranty for cheaper.

This is true, but there is a surcharge depending on how many months and miles/km have past since purchase.

I would get it especially on a major purchase item. You may never need it but when you do you won't regret the extra cost.

I'd still shop around for the warranty. for example this one which for my car is 1/3 of the price u quoted. http://warranty.actontoyota.com/
