Removing the Silver trim

This is my efforts to remove some of the awful color combinations in my car in preparation for a new dash kit. Basically the process was to paint then wet sand let that cure for seven days and repeat 4 times. Paint used was Krylon fusion.
Top two pieces done

bottom two pieces still in progress after my daughter got a hold of one of them and bugs landed on the other.

I found it was easier to take the bottom off first with a fair amount of pressure and then taking the top off using a screw driver wrapped with a cloth.

Plast putty knife works. Just use painters tape around the top area so you don't nick or gouge your dash.
