Odd. It shouldn't be losing coolant at this low of distance on the odo.

I would actually take it in, get it registered that something unsual is taking place in their books.

Never open the Radiator Cap on a warm engine. When it is cold remove the cap it should full to the top. Add some straight [not mixed] coolant to the overflow bottle to bring it up to the middle of the two lines. Best to do this on a cold engine.
Sounds like you are new to this stuff the best thing you can do is to get the Haynes or Chiltons manual or both and check out the wealth of info on your car.

Check w/dealer get a work order to keep. It's probably nothing more than a top up but just in case keep the paper work.

This is a 09 Toyota, not a 95 Ford. I don't think you will be finding a 3rd party service manual for quite some time.

I would play it safe and take it to the dealer and ask them to check just to be sure

Agreed, I assumed it was an older model, frankly I was surprised to see 2009.

First, did you check the engine coolant both times with the engine at the same temperature (either fully cold both times, or fully warmed up both times).

Second, how far below the "FULL" line is the coolant? My coolant is probably, maybe, half an inch (give or take) below the "FULL" line when the engine is cold. After my drive home (about 13 miles from work), it's about up to the "FULL" line.

Coolant, like any other fluid, expands as it heats up, and contracts as it gets colder. (We have this problem all the time at work with hydraulic fluid)

Basically, check your coolant at the same engine temperature (fully cold or fully warm) but as long as it's between the "ADD" (or "LOW" or whatever the container says) and "FULL," and it reads the same level when you check it, you really don't have any problems.
