where is the ODB2 connector?

Does anyone know where is the ODB connector located on our cars?

on older generations, they used to be under the dash near the steering column but for the 10th generation, I can't see it

Thanks for the reply, I will look for it tonite when I am home

I bought one of those ODB scanner for PC, I tested out on my older 1996 Corolla. It works well and gives a whole bunch of useful infor such as RPM, Timing, intake temperature, O2 sensor data, fuel pressure etc.

I will test it on my 2009 Corolla next

If you buy an OBDII reader, make sure it will read the "C.A.N" OBDII protocol and is of decent quality. (The 09 Corolla uses the C.A.N protocol). here is a link to a basic reader that also will clear the computer codes as well. (most will) I think there are about 5 different OBDII protocols out there

(I have nothing to do with this company, but do own their 3100 model) Some of the real cheap ("NO Name") older models do not support C.A.N., and if really crummy, could fry parts of the car's computer circuitry! Their are lots of decent basic readers out there starting at about $60-$70 USD

A basic reader is a good thing to have IMHO...Just to keep the dealer or mechanic Honest .

A lot of stores like Kragen and Autozone will read out the codes for free, so you can jot them down & look em up on the net yourself. There are lots of generic OBDII codes, and some others that are SPECIFIC to the brand of car, so you may have to search a little harder once you have the code!
