The Bar has been set a little higher now for 10th Gens to be considered Monsters...

Forced Induction = Monster

Non-Forced Induction = nicely modded

Either way though... very nice looking Rolla... drop it and it will be even sweeter...
LMAO @ your SHOCKER sticker though... priceless... Two in the Pink... One in the Stink

I don't know anything about lowering cars, could someone please explain to me what are the advantages of lowering the suspension by a couple inches and why people spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars to lower their car?

First: advantages are looks sexy as hell, reduces wheel gap, better handling, and did i mention looks sexy as hell. lol.

second: it does not cost much at all unless you buy coilovers. springs only cost about $200. its a simple and necessary mod to any car.

+1

Unless you put a TRD OFF-ROAD sticker on the side of your corolla.

huh! so by lowering the car by let's say 1 or 2 inches, it can dramatically enhance handling (as in less body rolls during tight turns?)

so why don't manufacturers produce the car with the lowest possible height so that we don't need to further lower them?

also, would it be a problem with lowered cars being more vulnerable to be stuck in the snow? I live in an area where snow could be abundant and oh yes, potholes too

another question, is-it just a matter of replacing the stock coil springs with shorter ones and re-use the OEM strut or you need to buy shorter struts as well?

The goal by car makers like toyota is Ride Comfort and Quality, instead of handling and performance. As you lower your car the ride quality becomes a littler harsher (you feel every bump and crack in the road) as opposed to the Cloud feeling on OEM springs.

No its not a problem in the Snow... provided you don't go too LOW... The TRD Springs give you a nice drop and drive-able in the snow... & potholes...

Lower ride height = lower center of gravity

Lower center of gravity = More stable handing during cornering transitions

Practicality. People use their cars to haul stuff. Low ride height, not practical for hauling heavy stuff. Half the people out there don't even know how to drive, let alone a lowered car, plowing into parking lot entrances at full speed, in a lowered car, would destroy the front
end.

Plenty of people in Montreal drive lowered cars during the winter.

Just adjust your driving habits according to conditions.

Whether you need new shocks or not depends on the condition of your existing ones.
