Thats what I figured, but I didnt want to go and order the wrong part.
Which of the two should I get first / which one makes more of a difference in handling?
whichever one u install first u will notice a difference in handling. when u install both it generally neutrals out. just install both at the same time. you can do the front one urself, the rear one u need a torque wrench for sure and the bolts are on really really tight, i had the rear one installed by the dealer.
Where I live I just had to put a deposit on the (huge) torque wrench, the auto supply store even dialed it in for me. Returned it after i was done for the full refund. Those bolts for the rear sway bar are on real tight, but I did get them done all by myself.
If you can't get both at once, get the rear sway bar first. By design, the car has a fair bit of understeer (front end push) built in as a safety feature as on most cars. Addingthe front strut bar first, will only add to this condition.
The rear sway bar adds oversteer while flattering out the body roll with the net effect being more neutral handling.
Aslo, the rear bar has a much more pronounced effect than the frontone on improving handling performance. The rear bar, pretty noticable difference, front bar, not so much.

Careful w/the front strut braces. My friend who is a top notch mechanic talked me out of the front strut braces. Unless you're racing the car on a track or wherever the struts need to move, flex or whatever you may call it and you could cause some serious damage. Anybody agree/disagree ?

uhm...the struts move with everyday driving. if struts were one solid unit, they would have no dampening capabilities what so ever. a strut brace doesn't stop the struts from doing its thing.
