How to run a pair of wires through the firewall?

I bought one of those car dash clock with the interior and exterior temperature indicator. I need to run a pair of wires with the sensor outside of the car to measure the ambient air temperature.

What is the easiest way? I was thinking through the firewall then all the way to the bottom of the front bumper cover? maybe through the same hole where the ECU and wire harness is running? is there enough room around the harness to accomodate two extra small wires?

Any other location possible? the trunk maybe?

I have not installed my amp power wire yet, but I am told there are two rubber nipples that you can run wires through, one on the passenger side and one on the driver side of the firewall. If you can fit a 4 ga power wire through, the two wires you are using should fit with plenty of room. You might want to seal the feed througn with some silicone caulk or other sealant (Goop for example) to keep water out.

i didn't see the two rubber nipples that were mentioned, but i woundnt recommend you go through the wire harness. it's too tight and i almost cut into it when i was trying to cut the rubber. i ran the wire through where the piping for A/C ( i believe) is which is just to the left of the wiring harness (looking from fronto f car. was much easier and less chance of messing something up.

I think either through the nipples, wire harness or AC line, my tiny 2 wires will go no problem

now on the other side, how do I retrieve those wires? what do I need to do to remove the dash or console?

I would like the easiest way for the wires to get to their ultimate destination which is just above the center vents

I'd use a wire coat hanger. Cut and straighten it and feed the hanger wire through from where you wish your wires to come out. When the coat hanger is through, tape your wire to it with electrical tape over at least 2-3" thinly . Then pull on your wire hanger until your wire is clear. Remove the electrical tape. You can do both wires at the same time if the wires are very thin. Or you can repeat for the second wire.
Same with under the dash.
If you are going throuh the dash panel, suggest you leave some slag on the wire for later removal for maintenance.
Hope this helps.

did anyone run power wire for a subwoofer amplifier? i want to know where to run the wire. the wire harness does look too tight to fit a 0 gauge wire.
