Chrome or Black?

On Blue Streak Metallic Corolla s. Should i get chrome or black rims? I will get either 16,17, or 18's. Probably 18's.

personally, id stick w/chrome. i HATE black rims. IMO, they always make a new car immediately look 10 years older and from any sort of distance look as though someone just removed the hubcabs on some steel wheels.

And IMO Chrome gives the car a Chicano style to it.

I always go painted silver. Looks good on any car.

I am the most anti chrome person you may ever meet but wheels are about the only thing I think belongs in chrome.

Anything but black

Personally I'd go with a machined or silver painted wheel myself. Chrome is OK but doesn't really fit a Corolla. Black just makes a car look dirty or cheap IMO.

Both. Gloss black with a polished lip would look banging IMO.

tjsumpthun, if you are the kind of car owner that doesnt care if your wheels are full of brake dust or mud or dirt then go with any rim color/finish. no matter what rim finish you get if you dont clean them it is just the same.

but if you are like many that cleans on a regular basis all the nooks and crannies of a wheel then go for chrome. it will show how well you take good care of car. but choose a classy one. dont go for the cheap ones coz they just wont look good.

im glad you are one person that doesnt want his 10th gen corolla to look like a subaru.

It's bad enough Toyota copied Subaru's blue for the 10th Gen Corolla! LOL!

I'm not a fan of black wheels, chrome lips on them help but most of the time they end up looking like steelies. I'd go chrome, silver or gun metal.
