Anybody had these problems?

My wife has a 2009 Corolla. She has about 24K on it. Just last week the lights on the radio go out and them come back on. The radio plays fine. Then I noticed on the miles per gallon calculator that everything works except the one that usually on varies by tenths as you drive. It has stayed at 34.1 without moving for the last several days. Could this all be connected! going to talk to the dealership as warranty is still on car, but thought I would see if anybody else had this issues before I talk to them. Thanks much, Ron DeWeese SW Missouri

The light on the radio will come on if it's dark/getting dark outside the car. I don't know about the MPG calculator, never really use it.

To be honest, the factory radio is junk in quality. Multiple people here have had them fail in short periods of time.

Your MPG calculator is not connected to this issue, and is likely fine. If you press in on the stick and hold, it will reset the system. However, with routine driving, I find my average MPG and MPH to rarely change after calculating over 1,000 miles. I typically reset them every time I fill up.

You may also be confusing your instantaneous and average MPG functions

Yeah i had my radio replaced twice already. Once it just completely turned off and never came back on. I took it to the dealer and they gave me a free new replacement. The second time. My radio wouldn't play the cds and the display would fade and make little blocks when it would come back. I took it to the dealer told em what was happening and i got another replacement. The radio i have now works great....for now.

How would one determine if they had a "JBL upgrade" radio?

Look for the logo on the radio under the power/volume knob and the steering wheel Bluetooth controls.
