My parents got a 2010 Corolla ES

I was disappointed that they didn't even consider test driving a Camry or even a used Solara, I'm sure they would have felt the difference right away.

So how are those Corollas? Are they any good? I believe they got the base model, it still has power options and stuff, not too sure about cruise control.

It has to be an LE, no such thing as an "ES" model, unless your folks bought a Mitsubishi Lancer.

For a reliable daily driver and basic point a to b transportation with good fuel efficiency, you can't really ask for more.

I actually got to drive it once. I was shocked by how loud the engine seemed. My 99 Solara whispers compared to that Corolla....

Unlike the I4 you find in the Corolla, the 1MZ-FE is known for it's low levels of NVH and smooth power delivery.

Different engines built for different purposes.
