Canada Bad Service Experience

A few weeks ago I took my Corolla 2009 XRS to 'Toyota on Front' for standard 32000km service. When I got my car back, I noticed right away there was a door dent mark on the side of my front passenger door. Someone clearly opened their door into my car. They even left their white paint on my door.

When I showed the service guy, he called his service manager and that guy was such a jerk. All he did was make excuses. No apology. No nothing. Of course, I told him that I would never come back again and that I would tell everyone about this, and he was fine with it. His assistant manager called me back 5 mins later after I stormed out and he apologized and offered to repair. I later realized that the damage wasn't so bad, but still, I will never go back to that place. Obviously, they don't care about their customers or your car for that matter.

Have you ever had such bad service at a dealership before?

Ohhhyeah. Brimell Toyota in Scarberia is a HORRIBLE dealer.

They're only interested in the cash they get from your visit and their service is horrible. They never make any service recommendations let alone follow any maintenance schedule (really their sales loss). I've been in there 10 times for the same problems. And honestly - they Service Manager is a dingdong - which probably contributes to the horrible attitude some of their techs have with their customers. Every time I've walked out of there I felt like I wasted my time. They should have converted to a GM dealer...since that's how they operate. Oh yeah...they lie too about services performed. Proved in my milage (or lack thereof).

Now...I've heard good things about Scarborough Toyota. Headed there for my next visit as I've got squeeks in the dash, roof, B-pillar, read window that I can't make go away (and the Brimell techs appear to be deaf so can't find them). I used to use them but they're much farther away and inconvenient...but I'll take a day off to do this so I only have to do it once.

In the US you can always go straight to Toyota.

My dealership sends me a questionaire every time I go in.

Anything less than excellant bumps it up the ladder.

Yes, same problem but in the USA.

My 2009 Corolla XLE brought to World Toyota (Atlanta), the dealership did damages to my Corolla's exterior and interior, even I told the Service Manager, he jerked around and rejected to fix them.

Later, I called Toyota Corp. USA, but the representative said he could not do anything.

I think that is the standard Toyota Quality.

The experience i've had with Toyota on the Front were not that great either; I took my car for repairs because a civic sideswiped my new car and what ends up happening?

The job was half ass done; door panels weren't fitting properly because of broken clips - in addition to that some deep scratches to the panels, left over tapes from the repair. I emailed the person reponsible for my case and he doesn't reply.

I patiently wait 7 days with multiple emails sent and finally within a day's email to their customer service manager the guy responsible calls me gets everything fixed in 3 days...

I guess the solution is to email/call their Service Manager

Dealers are very afraid of dissatisfied customers complaining to Toyota. Guesss Toyota goes after them and reprimands them by not supplying them cars they wanted. On the other hand if you're happy with your dealer and tells Toyota about it dealer will let you have some freebies in appreciation. I have free oil changes and discounts on my future purchases.
