Easily Printable Maintenance Schedule

Note: If you find this helpful please use the thanks button under this post.

Not sure if this link will work or not but I think it should...

Spreadsheet of what is required for normal service at mileage intervals.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...tc2lVUXc&hl=en

Brief breakdown of service

http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0Aa...ZzhyY2hk&hl=en

Severe Service Tables are also available.

Just wanted to make something easy to print and have on hand. This is from a service we use at our work called alldata collision. It pretty much contains all data available from manufacturers. A good amount is posted for easy access in the service plus I can do a request for diagrams or directions to pretty much anything related to vehichles 1980+.

That is a very helpful link. For another good and detailed site try

http://www.mcphillipstoyota.com/en/s...4|XRS#dropmenu

This is specifically set up for an XRS right now but I am pretty sure all the maintenance is the same, and you can choose any Toyota model. It is Canadian, so if you want to convert we have 8000km maintenance you have 5000 mile.

I notice is says inspect drive belt every 15K miles starting at 60K miles and never lists replacement as a requirement. At some point before the end of the spreadsheet, the service tech will determine after inspection that the belt needs changing. Seems like a way to game the reviews that check ownership costs based on the listed schedule to make costs seem lower than they really are. Doesn't a timing belt change at the dealer cost between $500 and $1000?
Are there other items that only listed as "inspect" rather than replace on these charts that are really going need replacement at least once or twice before 120,000 miles?
What about the radiator fluid and A/T fluid?

Drive belts do not get replaced unless they are cracking/wearing, the time frame for this to happen varies, and cannot be put onto a maintenance schedule.

Our cars don't have timing belts, so the price of changing one is irrelevant. Changing a drive belt is not even CLOSE to what it would cost to do a timing belt.

A/T fluid is listed as not changed, inspect for leaks only (for life of vehicle).
Coolant (radiator fluid) is to be changed at 10 years or 100,000 miles.

This is shown on the schedule.

I've never paid more than $200 to have a timing belt changed on any Toyota that I've owned. That being said, our new Corollas use a timing chain & not a belt that is supposed to last the life of the car.

Here is my version of the printable maintenance guide. THIS IS THE "SEVERE SERVICE", which means you drive your car in harsh conditions. This table has a few more inspections then the normal service table clintj posted up.
