alarm chirp

Is there anyway to disable or stop the alarm chirp when you lock and unlock the doors? It is an 2010 Corolla.

Only the dealership can do it.

Are you talking about the sound it makes when you use the remote-key to lock/unlock the doors?

Whether or not they charge you and what they charge you will vary from dealer to dealer. Give your dealer a call and ask how much they would charge to reprogram one of the options.

There may be a way to do it without plugging the Toyota computer into it, but I'm not currently aware of the sequence required.

the chirp when you lock and unlock the door does not come from the horn or the siren. it comes from a separate piezeo buzzer that does just that.

Searched through several threads, but haven't seen anybody who has done this yet. Could someone please redirect me if someone has had this disabled at the dealer and for how much? I tried calling one dealer, but they told me this can't be done.

I also want to set all my doors to unlock with one press on my remote key instead of two presses. Lastly, I would like to disable the beeping noise for the passenger seat belt. All of these settings are changeable through the dealership according to the manual.

The door unlock on one or two presses is for safety. If you only unlock the driver door with only one press it is to prevent anyone else from jumping into an unlocked car if all the doors were unlocked. In some areas this could be a big issue, but I don't find pressing the button twice a big deal.

Yeah Super, normally I wouldn't mind. I actually prefer the safety benefit as well. But I am almost always opening the door for a passenger. Now with my autostart 2-way remote, it's a bit more of a pain for me to press it twice, which is why I would like to change the unlock all doors option.
