I'm seriously considering purchasing a new Corolla in the next few weeks, I've had an '07 Cobalt, '09 Focus, '08 Cobalt and an '08 Saturn Astra but I'm ready to move on. I was looking at getting a S model, in either Blue or Gray with the sunroof, jbl, and just the regular features and additionally a Toyota remote start. The MSRP of the model I'm looking at is around $20,600 what do you think I should be able to negotiate down to? Secondly, how much extra should I pay for the remote start? And finally I see that the current $750.00 rebate ends this weekend, does anyone have an idea of what incentives will be available after the sixteenth? I'm in Indiana close to Chicago I don't know if that helps at all. Are there any options I should look for or anything? Oh and I was sort of interested in the 7 Year 100,000 Platinum warranty. I hear it's pretty close to bumper to bumper, but does anyone have an idea of how cheap that warranty can be had for?
Forget about the toyota remote starter, it has such a short range, you have to basically see you car to start it. Get it install some where else, much cheaper and more functions on it.
I really don't care about range. I just need to be able to start it from my house haha which is like fifteen feet. But, I don't want anything that isn't Toyota on it because i've been screwed in the past from after market things on the wiring harness.
My Astra is a complete lemon, I've had it for three months and it never starts, the stereo is terrible, the gas mileage is terrible. What did you like better about the Astra? I am going to miss the eighteen inch wheels.

For 15 feet only, I rather save my money, get into the car and start it. The starter that offer by Toyota is POS, especially with that price tag.
I have a 2009 toyota corolla s sport with the remote starter. I didn't want it even though I use it every day cause I can start the car from my house in the winter.
It is an automatic 2009 toyota corolla s with all weather guard package($150), moonroof(890), sport package(1495), vehicle stability control(250) which is standard for 2010, carpet floor mats(199) and remote starter(529). The msrp of the car was $21483. I paid 18765, 938.25 for tax, $50 for title preparation, and $298 for documents and preparation for a total of $20,051.25. I got the 0% financing for 3 years. This probably isn't a great deal, but I needed a new car that day as my car broke and I wanted the stability control and this was the only car available. I have had the car for one year. Drove about 12k miles. No issues.
