10th Gen Service Manual

Newbi Toyota owner.

Been searching this site as well as the net, and the general consensus is there are no Service Manuals to be had for the 10th Gen Corolla's, other than the overly priced factory Toyota manuals (they gotta be kidding) or a subscription to TIS.

Do you feel a 9th gen manual would be helpful at all as those are readily available as downloads from E-Bay or is the 9th gen that much different?

Engine and powertrain totally different???

Never owned a Toyota before and it seems the information to be able to do my own maintenance is going to be a hassle.

I use Alldata at my work http://www.alldata.com/home/ and there isn't too much for our cars on their site but I can do a request and anything published about our cars is available to me.

If you tell me exactly what you need I can get it for you.

Thanks for the offer. Right now I'm brand new to Toyota's and I just want to plan ahead. For example I was just on a Toyota parts site, and I eas interested in purchasing a thermostat for future needs and I see there are 3 different stats for the 1.8 engine. A,B, or C thermostat. WTF. I mean really. Come on. I thought GM parts was a PITA.

Check out the head bangers. There all in sync. LOL!

But I won't get upset. I will do the research and eventually figure it out.

There are only 2 different factory thermostats for the 1.8L 2ZR-FE, in the EPC they are listed as (J) and (L), which respectively mean Japan Supplied and Locally Supplied. You're just choosing where the part is made, they're totally interchangeable, and within the next few years they will probably change up to one or the other for supply parts.
