Dealer Alarm Evidence

Purchased 2010 LE and dealer said they already had an alarm installed. I refused it and they said they had to remove it. Did they really install an alarm and then remove it? How can I tell if an alarm was installed or not? What kind of alarm?
Did notice a small hole in the firewall rubber grommet to the right of the wiring harness however it almost looks like it was made that way, in other words not punctured and maybe has some purpose.

I know through the search function there is a thread on how to check, if I remember you lower the driver window, lock the door via remote, then wait a minute, reach in and open door with handle.
If alarm goes off you got it.

I don't believe the alarm is installed, just trying to see if there is any physical evidence of one ever being installed.

The small hole on the grommet is normal.

I was told by my sales guy that it comes with a more sophisticated, full featured, manufacturer installed alarm with shock sensor and a couple other things. When I bought my 2010 in October it was 10pm when I did the paper work. The finance guy asked if i wanted the alarm and I declined. He handed me a little chip and told me to give it to my sales guy when I go back down stairs. I thought about "forgetting" about it but that would not be honest so when my sales guy asked for It I gave it to him. I watched him disable the alarm. He had a "master" transmitter and pushed a button on that then installed the chip into a module that is in plain sight under the steering wheel. It is a black card slot secured with two screws. Look for that.
