I want to install Sylvania Ultra headlamp bulbs. But, the system seems to work much different than most I've seen. The daytime running lights use the inboard lamp bulbs, as do the high beams. The low beams use the outboard lamp bulbs, with no change on high beam.
So is there an Ultra replacement bulb for both the low beam and the inboard bulb? If so, anyone know the part numbers? If there is an inboard Ultra bulb, does it make the daytime running lamp brighter also?

The 9005 (our high beam/DRL is dual filament where what would normally be a 'low beam' on most cars is our car's DRL. Here are the numbers below.

I went ahead and installed both high and low beams with Silverstar Ultras. WOW! What a difference in brightness. I know HID would be better, but for the money and simplicity, everyone should do it. They are so much brighter and whiter than the stock Halogen bulbs. Best money spent on the vehicle.

Good to know! I put those same bulbs in my 94 Corolla & I really like them so it's good to know that they are much better than stock on my 09 Corolla S. I've tried PIAA bulbs before but I was less impressed with them & they didn't last that long, at least for me.

It looks like the Amazon is a 9006 & the Shopper is a H4 bulb so it may be a package difference for the different type of bulb. The Shopper one may be using a file photo & not the actual product. Other than that I'm not sure as they both say they are Sylvania Silverstar Ultra bulbs.

Neither, you head out of the store and go home fire up your computer and go to: http://store.candlepower.com/hirlighting.html and order a set of HIR bulbs that blow Ultras, Nokya's and PIAA into the weeds using the highest amount of lumination that is legal, while still enjoying much better than OEM lifespan on the bulbs.

I've never seen those bulbs before. Have you used them & what do you think of them if so?

I have some family that have them. He says they perform exactly as the specs suggest, 2500 lm for the high beam, 1800 for the low beam. All the others out there are 1700lm for the high beam and 1000lm for the low beam no matter what smoke and mirrors they claim with 85w=55watt garbage and using blue tint to fake intensity. This bulbs are the real deal, standard OEM on Dodge Viper and a bunch of other high end cars. I have seen a comparision and the claims are valid. I'm waiting on a set.
at this point I'd rather get 6000k 35w xenons, I know there's some glare, but at least here in Texas we have a bunch of silverados, tundras, etc running HID setups in every light compartment they can and they're higher up so it's screwing everyone over. Us corollas are kinda lower so I don't think it'd be a huge problem, plus lately people have been driving w/ their brights on which honestly glares me more than someone w/ hid's aimed a little lower.

yeah that is so true. they tailgate me all the time even though I'm speeding already. they get right on my tail and stay there. once a 4runner had their brights on all the way down westheimer. I've seen a lot of people w/high beams on too around sugar land and its retarded
HIR bulbs from what i heard are great. usually could be found at a sears or something because lawn mowers use these bulbs. of course many people take the HID route because these bulbs are much too expensive.

The only thing that prevents tailgating is erratic braking. They are all tough and stuff until they realize that if they rearend someone its 100% their fault and possible neck injuries, hello insurance increase...If you don't like the way I drive go around....
