Resale Blue Book Price

am I the only one that checked the blue book price after all these corolla recalls only to find out that the value of my 09 corolla has dropped a couple thousand over night?

I don't care about resale as I love my S & plan to keep it for a very long time.

I don't really care about resale value if I am planning to keep the car. If you are not selling your car now, blue book value means basically nothing.

yes, i noticed this as well a couple days ago. my corolla is worth less after 15 mos of ownership than my base model yaris was after the same amount of time.

unforseen things often happen in ones life that cause the need to sell a car or change cars. it happens. it is a concern that recent events have apparantly killed the resale value of the corolla. i would only hope this will change over time.

worse yet, i dont expect the drop in resale value to create any significant drop in what toyota dealers will be charging for these cars.

This will all be forgot about soon enough and the values will go right back up. The Toyota Corolla is the best selling car in history! I doubt that the fact that there was a small recall will have any long term effect.

The Ford Focus is the most recalled car in history (in Canada, not sure if same in US) and the new ones hold there value fairly well. Ford also made the Pony that would explode if rear ended and put Firestone tires on Explorers that blew up consistently. Ford overall is doing well.

We are talking about 10 people (out of hundreds of millions) who couldn't drive and blamed their gas pedals for their incompetence. There is nothing wrong with my Corolla and I have a CTS pedal.
